got up at 7:45 for my 8 AM final
went to class
walked in
everyone was holding a blue book
we don't need a fleeking blue book
didn't recognize the faces
panicked
sprinted to lab to use a computer to find out where the hell my final is being held

My teeth are gritted,
my eyes are stinging
my brain is confused
but not half as much as my heart
i don't know what i want
i don't know if i want it
i'm looking for answers
and i'll keep on searching
this feeling of dread in my stomach
offset by brief moments of joy
leads to sleep drowned in sorrow
and more routine days
routine needs no thought
and so causes no pain
i am a hopeless idiot
who sleeps his foolish thoughts away
reclining in the comfort of dreams
